Onehunga Sports moved up to third on the LOTTO NRFL Women’s Championship table thanks to a 3-2 win over Central United on Sunday.

Niamh Carter, Miah Smith and Grace Duncan scored goals for the home side as they raced out to a 3-1 halftime lead they would protect in the second half.

Franklin United continued their strong run of form to beat Tauranga City AFC 2-0 and move up to second on the table.

Chloe Marthe continued her goal-scoring run, picking up a first half double to seal the victory.

Manukau United were comfortably beaten by Fencibles United 6-1.

Victoria Fatiaki scored consolation goal late.

Manurewa AFC picked up a point in their Northern League contest against Takapuna FC at War Memorial Park on Saturday.

The two sides couldn’t find a goal and they grabbed a point each thanks to a 0-0 draw.

It means Manurewa lies fifth in the standings.

Manukau United found themselves on the end of a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Eastern Suburbs.

Onehunga Mangere United lost to Fencibles United 2-0 at Riverhills Park in LOTTO NRFL Men’s Championship action.

They continue to be bottom of the league after six games.
