Maramarua 1 celebrated their Premier Gold championship on the weekend by sweeping the Pukekohe Netball Centre annual awards while Georgia Kriletich claimed an emotional award win.

Champion coaches Jody McCort and Dwayne McNeil took out the Stonz Jewellers Plate for Outstanding Contribution to Netball while shooter Eseta Autagavaia claimed the Outstanding Achievement Medal after a dominant campaign for Maramarua 1.

Teammate Hannah Kimber won the Jean Stevenson Cup – the Senior Sportsmanship Award while Phoebe Tumata claimed the Patrons Trophy for Senior Endeavour award.

Kevin McGill won the Jubilee Trophy for Service to Netball having been the Centre’s handyman for the last six years. The retired builder is largely responsible for the top notch way the centre is maintained.

He is widely regarded by everyone involved in the centre and was a popular winner.

Fusion’s Ella Helms won the Kath Astle Memorial Trophy for Most Improved A Grade Player, voted by the A Grade teams.

In a bittersweet moment St Josephs Margies’ Georgia Kriletich won the Margie Kriletich Memorial Trophy, named in honour of her late mother, as the Most Promising Player for 2022.

Tuakau 1’s Samantha Smith claimed the Lucy Hira Taonga as the most Outstanding Premier Player, voted on by the Premier teams, while Puni Junior Club’s Leana Miller was presented the Gail Cathcart Trophy for the Junior Sportsmanship Award.

Miller coaches, manages a team and umpires for the centre in addition to playing herself.

Jessica Betty won the David and Raewyn Ronaldson Trophy as the best Premier Umpire while Caitlin Hickford won the Kingseat Cup as best Senior Umpire this year.

Emma van Vught won the S.A.N.A Cup as the best Junior Umpire.

Ceri Taylor was awarded the Kathy and Sue Cup for Excellence in Umpiring while Carmen Michie was presented the Jennian Homes Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to Umpiring.

Will Morisa was acknowledged for his Outstanding Service to Representative Netball.
