The Pukekohe Rugby Touch Competition concluded last weekend with local outfit SHUUUSH taking out top honours after a phenomenal unbeaten season.

The 14-week, 20-team competition culminated with finals day on Saturday at Colin Lawrie Fields, with teams playing two games each.

The SHUUUSH team took out the gold in both the Championship Mixed Cup as well as the Championship Men’s Major as well, completing an unbeaten season in a dominant display.

The edged Swift 7-5 in the gold medal game of the Championship Mixed Cup while proved too good for Jokers in the Men’s Major, winning the final 7-5.

In the Mixed Plate Final, Doitzzz prevailed over Blue Balls while in the Mixed Bowl Final, Tap n Gap triumphed over Not Fast Not Furious.

Brian Roberts beat Slow, Fat and Thirsty in the Men’s Minor competition.

“We wish to thank all the teams for contributing to a successful season,” said competition organiser Rolph Watson. “We also wish to thank our Referee Group for yet another strong performance over the season.

“Our 2024/25 season will kick off in October 2024. Bring It On!!”
