Northern Stars netballer Kayla Johnson has announced she is pregnant with her second child and is due later this year.

Johnson, and rugby league star husband Shaun Johnson, became parents in 2020 when daughter Millah was born in August of that year.

Johnson returned to netball post her pregnancy and became a key figure for the Stars as they qualified for the ANZ Premiership Grand Final last year, eventually going down to the Pulse.

The 30-year-old posted the news of her pregnancy on Instagram.

“Baby sister loading. Due July 2023,” the post read.

“May be small, but it doesn’t miss,” commented Shaun Johnson.

The exciting news means she will miss the ANZ Premiership this year as well as the Netball World Cup.
