Counties Baseball will call on the services of one of New Zealand’s leading baseball coaches this summer with Mark Irwin taking a lead role with four different Counties teams.
National age-group coach Irwin headlines the list of 2021-22 appointments, looking after the Premier side, the 19U, 16U and Tee Ball teams.
Irwin has coached New Zealand sides in 17U and 16U Little League competitions while he has been on the coaching staff of numerous other New Zealand international sides.
He guided the Counties Colts Premier side to third place at the 2021 Baseball New Zealand National Championships in April.
Jeremy Pu, Brock Nash and Taylor Irwin will coach the 13U side this summer.
Mike Dufty will be Mark Irwin’s assistant with the 19U and 16U sides.
Registrations are open for the upcoming season.
