Maramarua 1 will chase back-to-back Premier Gold titles at Pukekohe Netball Centre when they face Huskies 1 in the final on Saturday.
Undefeated through round robin play and having easily accounted for St Josephs Margies in the semi-finals last weekend, Maramarua 1 will go into the weekend as strong favourites.
But Huskies have proven to be a competitive outfit and they were impressive in beating last season’s runners-up Pythons 1 in a knock-out match last weekend.
The final is scheduled to begin at 12.30pm.
Whitestar Phoenix faces Pythons 2 in the Premier Silver Final, beginning at 10.30am, after both sides won tightly-fought semi-finals.
In Premier Bronze, Fusion Sentinels come into the final well rested having got through the semi-finals in walk-over fashion. The top qualifiers from pool play will face Maramarua 3 in the decider, after the latter accounted for Te Kohanga Kahurangi in the semi-finals.
That match begins at 10.45am.
