Each week Counties Sports Hub will name the Counties Manukau Cricket Association Form XI in Premier Cricket.

The selections are based on recent form and are updated weekly.

See who earned selection this week.

Rikesh Patel (Manukau)
The Manukau City opener has started the season with a flourish once again – for the second straight year he was the form batsman through the Inder Lynch T20 and has had a big impact on Manukau sitting unbeaten after five rounds. His spin bowling has been more than useful as well.

JayDee Sandhu Singh (Weymouth)
The aggressive opener has helped Weymouth be in a strong position through the T20 competition thus far and continued that form with a quickfire 34 against Karaka on Saturday. He is very dangerous on artificial wickets.

Luke Williamson (Karaka)
The Karaka skipper has been in sparkling form to start the season, consistently scoring runs in both forms of the game. His century (faster than a-run-a-ball) on Saturday set up Karaka’s win over Weymouth in the Spark Cup.

Sandeep Patel (Manukau)
While cousin Rikesh has been grabbing the headlines, Sandeep Patel has quietly got off to another flier this season. He has scored runs in almost every inning he has played so far and has got quick runs at key times this season.

Fraser Farrell (Pukekohe)
The youngster continued on from a brilliant rookie season to be a key figure for Pukekohe Metro through the Inder Lynch T20 competition. He topped the Honours Board last week with the bat and makes it again with ball this week.

Pankaj Kumar (Weymouth)
Kumar has been brilliant through the Inder Lynch T20 with both bat and ball, regularly taking wickets and scoring key runs for Weymouth. He featured on both lists on last week’s Honours Board and will surely be in consideration for representative honours this season.

Scott Johnston (Manukau)
After tasting first class cricket last summer, the speedster has hit the ground running once again in 2022-23. Johnston picked up big wickets during the T20 weekends and scored some handy runs as well. He was back at it in the one-day competition too, taking four wickets against Te Awamutu.

Reid Somani (Pukekohe)
The Pukekohe Metro skipper this season, Somani picked up plenty of wickets through the first two weekends of the Inder Lynch T20 competition and also chipped in with a few handy runs as well. He will have vital role for Pukekohe Metro this season.

Rajan Bhatia (Papakura)
Papakura’s Bhatia was a stand-out during the first few weeks of the season. He contributed both with wickets and with runs during the Inder Lynch T20 competition and carried that form through into the Spark Regional Competition, top scoring and taking wickets on Saturday.

Shaneil Patel-Ponda (Karaka)
The left arm orthodox spinner looks to be a real find for Karaka this season. The English import has fitted in really well and has formed a key combination with Hayden Wark (unlucky to just miss selection himself). Patel-Ponda mixes his pace well and took three Weymouth wickets to turn the game Karaka’s way on Saturday.

Andrew Goodare (Southern)
Goodare was solid without being spectacular through the Inder Lynch T20 tournament but really burst to life on Saturday as he almost single-handedly won Southern Counties their first ever Spark Cup match. His five-wicket haul reminding everyone what potential the youngster has.
