The Franklin Bulls have kick-started their Sal’s NBL finals charge on the back of a dream debut from Tall Blacks guard Corey Webster as they beat the Giants in Nelson 77-69 on Saturday.

Webster, in his first game for the club, scored a game-high 31 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists to help his side beat one of the most impressive teams in the league so far.

Jaydent Bezzant chimed in with 15 points and six rebounds while Denhym Brooke had 10 points in the low scoring affair.

It improves the Bulls record to 3-4.

They play again Sunday against the Rams in Christchurch.
