Weymouth got a big away win over Pukekohe Metro in Premier 2 play at Bledisloe Park on Saturday to move to within a point of first place on the one-day table.

The visitors made 320-6 batting first before bowling Pukekohe out for 246.

Southern Districts proved too strong for United with a 41-run win at Karaka Sports Complex, securing their first one-day win of the season.

Papakura scraped home to beat top-of-the-table Karaka by two wickets with two balls remaining in a thrilling match at Karaka.

The Fearless XI move to fourth as a result – just behind the Warriors.

Papakura Heat beat Pukekohe Metro by six wickets to hold second place on the table.

Pukekohe Metro Gold continued their run of form in Senior B as they beat Karaka by 109 runs at Karaka Sports Complex to remain atop the standings.

Elsewhere, Glenbrook Maramarua picked up another win – a narrow eight wicket win at Tuakau – to be nipping at the heels of Pukekohe Metro Gold, while Manukau beat Papakura in a low scoring affair to move into the top four.

Pukekohe Metro Green beat United by 105 runs.

The Pukekohe Metro Punjab Tigers hammered Weymouth Grumpy Old Men in T20 play on Saturday to improve to two wins and two losses and move into third on the table.

The visitors posted 187-5 batting first before rolling their opponents for just 18 in reply.

Top-of-the-table Weymouth Hardly Athletic grabbed a 95-run win over Clevedon Cavaliers while Tuakau picked up a walk-over win against Pohutukawa Coast.
