Navigation Homes Stadium open for Steelers mid-week game
The Phil Kingsley Jones Lounge will screen the PIC Steelers v Taranaki NPC game next Wednesday night when Reon Graham’s side heads to New Plymouth mid-week.
The PIC Steelers season could be defined by the coming storm week, where they play three games within a week.
Local fans can get together and support the team by joining us in the lounge – the bar will be open and the game will be on the big screen from 7pm.

Congratulations to Black Ferns trio
A massive congratulations to Counties Energy Heat trio Hazel Tubic, Arihiana Marino-Tauhinu and Ruby Tui, who have all been picked in the Black Ferns World Cup squad.
The three local stars will represent their country on the biggest stage right here in New Zealand.
The whole region will be behind them and we can’t wait to see them in action.

Successful school season completed
Congratulations to all our Secondary Schools on completing the 2022 rugby season. After what has been a hectic few years for us all, it was great to see our schools close off in their respective competitions.
Counties Manukau Secondary Schools Winners for 2022
– 1st XV Boys Premiership: Tuakau College/Onewhero Area School
– Girls 10s: Rosehill College
– 1st XV Plate: Rosehill College
– Under 15 Boys Open: Waiuku College
Moreover, congratulations to Rosehill College and Pukekohe High School who both proved victorious in their respective Under 70kg divisions in Auckland. Rosehill claimed their division with a 7-0 win over Green Bay High School whilst Pukekohe secured their win with a 25-6 over Sancta Maria College.

Manurewa Girls give good account of themselves at nationals
Manurewa High School 1st XV Girls travelled to Palmerston North last week in National 1st XV Top 4 Championships to not only represent their school, but the Counties Manukau and Chiefs region.
The team took on challenges from Christchurch Girls High School (South Island) and Auckland Grammar School (Blues) finishing up fourth at the Championships. Well done to the team and management for a strong season finishing off at Nationals.

Aims Games takes off
The Aims Games in Tauranga attracts tens of thousands of Intermediate student athletes from across the nation each year across 24 sporting codes and this year is the first time in two years since the last event.
Well done to our Intermediate schools, Pukekohe Intermediate School, Randwick Park School, Reremoana School & Tuakau College who went to battle alongside the 32 other schools in the Rugby Sevens space.
