Pukekohe Metro claimed victory in the Premier 2 T20 Final on Saturday to take a clean sweep of the T20 finals over the weekend.

Following their Premier side’s victory over Manukau City, Pukekohe Metro’s Premier 2 side beat Karaka by four wickets in a thrilling final at Karaka Sports Complex.

Batting first Karaka recovered from being 17-4 to make 117 all out in their 20 overs.

Pukekohe Metro reached the target in the final over, with four wickets in hand and four balls to spare.

A half century from opener Blair Partington helped the visitors to the total.

Southern Counties beat Weymouth in the third v fourth playoff.

The Papakura Gladiators cruised to a comfortable win in the Senior A Plate grade as they beat the Weymouth Wolves by 88 runs.

Papakura struggled batting first but managed to eek out 137 all out.

Four wickets from Weymouth’s Bryan Davys helping keep the target to a minimum.

But it proved too hard as Papakura’s bowlers ran riot over the Weymouth batting line-up, dismissing them for just 49.

Opening bowler Kamran Ayub Amir took 7-16 in a brilliant spell to set up the win for Papakura.

Glenbrook Maramarua completed a dominant season in the Senior B Championship grade, claiming a 74-run win over Pukekohe Metro in the final at Glenbrook Reserve.

An unbeaten 47 from Bruce Nicholls and 40 from Martin Denyer set up a competitive total of 206-5 off their 40 overs.

Three wickets for Denyer and two each for Nicholls, Garrick Knight and Adrian Smith secured victory.

Tuakau picked up the Senior B Plate trophy after beating Pukekohe Metro Green by 134 runs in the final.

Half centuries from Cameron Ansell, Lorenz Ewe and Kamal Singh saw Tuakau post a very competitive 282 all out.

They then bowled Pukekohe Metro out for 148 thanks to three wickets apiece to Ewe and Brian Voice.
