The annual NZ Barbarians Fun Day was held at Bruce Pulman Park over the weekend with a host of primary school-aged kids from all over Auckland taking part.

Organised by the New Zealand Barbarian Rugby Club, the annual fixture sees up to 800 students involved from 22 different clubs.

The day is about players from across the wider Auckland region (North Harbour, Auckland and Counties Manukau) meeting for mini-games and having fun with skills and drills before hooking into the sausage sizzle.

This year the event partnered with CLM and Taste Catering who provided inflatables and free fruit.

Members of the Blues Rugby franchise were in attendance as well.

“It was a great fun had by all and a great turn out for the Blues team, who made the kids day,” Senior Vice President of the New Zealand Barbarian Rugby Club Craig Glendinning said. “Special thanks to that staff from Bruce Pulman Park who contributed to ensuring a well-run event.”
