Franklin Softball has won the Plate Championship at the Softball New Zealand U17 National Championships in Christchurch.
They narrowly missed out on a top eight spot after finishing third in their pool but they went on to beat Canterbury Development 8-4 in the Plate final.
Xzavier Haddon was named to the Tournament Team and was named as the tournament’s best batter.
Carlos McCabe-Davis was selected to the Rest Tournament Team.
