


Forward Dan Fotu has powered the Franklin Bulls to a 100-89 Sal’s NBL victory over the Wellington Saints at Pulman Arena on Friday night.
The win sees the Bulls move to second on the table and secures them a playoff berth for the first time in franchise history.
Fotu scored a career-high 31 points on 12-14 shooting from the floor to go with six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a brilliant solo performance.
Guard Rickey McGill chimed in with 23 points, seven board and six assists as the Bulls improved to 10-4 on the season.
With a playoff spot now secured, their attention will now turn to trying to finish in the top two, earning a path immediately to the semi-finals.
They face a tough road trip next weekend, where they play the Southland Sharks and Otago Nuggets in the South Island.
