Manukau United earned an impressive 2-2 draw with top-of-the-table Auckland City FC in Northern League action on Saturday.

It is just the second time this season that Auckland hasn’t won and will do wonders for the morale of the local side.

Papatoetoe AFC grabbed a stunning 4-0 win away to Greenhithe Catimba in LOTTO Division 2 action to help propel the local team away from the bottom of the ladder.

It is the third win of the season for Papatoetoe.

Elsewhere in the grade Beachlands Maraetai moved to third on the table with a 3-0 win at Northland FC while Onehunga Mangere United’s 1-1 draw with Fencibles keeps them atop the standings.

Franklin United had a 2-2 draw with bottom-placed Uni-Mount Bohemian.

Both South Auckland clubs in the NRF Championship grade enjoyed wins on Saturday.

Papakura City beat West Auckland KTM 2-1 in a top-of-the-table clash while South Auckland Rangers blanked Glen Eden United 2-0 away from home.

Rangers drew level with West Auckland, three points behind Papakura City.

Pukekohe AFC played out a 0-0 draw with Western Springs AFC to earn another vital competition point. They moved up to a share of seventh on the NRF Community Division 1 table in the process.

Waiuku AFC enjoyed a 1-0 win over Albany United Schmalbany in Division 3 action while Drury United lost to Albany United Champs 2-0.

In Women’s Championship action Onehunga Sports moved up to third on the table with an impressive 5-0 thumping of West Auckland WCL while Papakura City continued their strong run of form to beat Northland FC 2-0 at home.

Manukau United fell to Hibiscus Coast AFC 4-0 at home.
