Alfriston College and Papakura High School played out a thrilling 15-15 draw in Counties Manukau Secondary Schools 1st XV action on Saturday.

The two sides could not be separated and split the points in the opening week of competition.

Waiuku College scored a massive 60-0 hiding of Pukekohe High School while the Tuakau College/Onewhero Area School side proved too strong for Hauraki Plains 31-19.

Rosehill College picked up a default win over Wesley College.

Rosehill College grabbed a 20-5 win over Papakura High School Black in the Girls 10s competition.

Tuakau/Onewhero drew 25-25 with Waiuku College in a thrilling game while Alfriston College beat Papakura High School Green 22-5.

Waiuku College edged Pukekohe High School 19-17 in their Under 15 Open grade clash while Tuakau/Onewhero were too strong for Rosehill College with a 42-12 win.

Alfriston College beat Papakura High School 36-12.

Waiuku College gained a 35-14 win over Tuakau/Onewhero in the Boys U14 Open grade.
